Shared/Fractional Ownership

For those who are ready to sail away on their own with easily arranged and generous use of the yacht while sharing the purchase/running costs and usage of the yacht with other sailors.

Shared yacht ownership provides share-holders access to sailing adventures and can provide affordable access to larger yachts. Shared yacht experience is also a good stepping-stone for those considering sole-ownership in the future.

There is a lot to consider in legal terms and ln the on-going management of the yacht it is imperative to have a formalized agreement in place from the start. A proper agreement will help avoid any clashes between members, not only about the number of share-holders, usage of the boat, ongoing expenses, maintenance and repair but also about if/when you want to dissolve or leave the share-holder group, sell or up-grade or re-new the agreement.

For best results, it’s wise to use a professionally managed boat share company that is set up to deal with all the necessary paperwork and management of the yacht and any issues that arise.

Sailing Club-style Yacht Sharing
